    Hello! I'm Frenchy308

    Cheers friend
  4. Welcome, stranger! My name is Appdata, or Mike as my in-game name, and I am just the usual, regular player you might meet online, without the toxic and unnecessarily aggressive personality bits. I will always meet with open arms new users, because aggressiveness and toxicity is not a personality characteristic, but just an obnoxious, attention seeking method. About you Well, I have a rather high enjoyment on the creation of topics/threads on gaming forums that will prove helpful to other users, such as guides, guidelines, and other informative topics. That said, this forum has a unique format code I haven't seen before... it's gonna take a while to get used to. Most likely than now, I will spend most of my time in the Discord server and the forums, more than the game server itself. What do you seek to accomplish in the community? As previously mentioned: To create as many quality, well-invested information topics on the forum. This is not my first ride, as I got experience on other gaming communities I've passed by before. Some of my previous experience projects were kept in a now defunct forum, from the 'COD5 Community'. I have a text saved for the Forum Rules of said community, but unfortunately it's BBCode, and therefore porting it to this forum will require starting from scratch. Yeah, this forum has a unique forum formatting code, but I will eventually get the hang on it. I do not have any administrative goals in mind, I'm rather interested in the creation of informative topics. However, if the opportunity comes, maybe some day I will look up and set a new goal. Who knows what the future has to offer. Examples Not everything was lost in the forum of the COD5 Community, as I moved to another, more recent community: Phoenix V I, Appdata, decided to break my personal record on invested in a forum project as to comparison to my previous CODE5 project, the Forum Rules (composed with introduction, colors, quotes, examples, for each and every 21 of the rules). I knew it'd be a big investment to attempt to break that record, but I still decided to continue in my goal to set a new limit... ...and so I did. My Biggest Project: Bug Tracker The Bug Tracker was created for the COD5 Community, but due to the closure of the community, I stopped development. Eventually, I restarted it from the ground, but this time, in Google Documents. Before I could even start this project, I had to learn a whole new formatting from Google Docs and Google Charts. The early phases of my development were demanding me to stop and just play a game and forget this. But I persisted. And finished. With nothing else to say, I want to introduce you to my biggest, to this date, project I have developed in my own (hell, even my collaborations from past projects can't match this). Bug Tracker The bug tracker was created with the most detail my knowledge on the basics of Google Sheets could allow me to, sacrificing my time to elaborate as much simplicity for any other user I would allow to add new bugs to the list. The ease of use of this document is as easy as 1-2-3 (the early stages were not and required a rather unnecessarily complex procedure that I feared would discourage users from adding new bugs). The version you're seeing is the backup version to use in case of griefing, aka the fully clean, release candidate, version. Tracker Manual Not only did I spend a month on the learning of Sheets and the creation of the Bug Tracker, but also spent some of that time creating a manual. Yes, a manual. I created a manual with the purpose to elaborate with as much detail as possible on what category every game bug should be put. Not only did I go through every bug category I could think of, but also made examples, charts, table of content, and so much more! If I thought the Bug Tracker was difficult because of the new formatting of the Google Sheets, little did I know that the Tracker Manual would be difficult not because of the formatting, but by typing 32,085 words. Changelog As you can tell already, I am very, over the line, organized, so it comes to no surprise I kept my organization - wait for it - organized. I created a changelog to keep track of any changes to either the manual, the tracker, or even the changelog itself. Due to the stability of the documents, no changes have been made (thankfully). See you later! So I have demonstrated I am capable of creating well shaped informative topics, and every once in a while when planets align, a big project like the one above. Hopefully I will have the time and motivation to break that personal record with yet another project, who knows. This will not be the last time you'll see me in the forums, but until next time, see you later!

Pleasure to meet you Apache. It's always nice to see some players from across the pond. Let me know if there are any problems while most of our admins are asleep. We may have need for a graveyard shift moderator!

    Hello, let's play!

See? This guy gets it. Everyone should take a page from your playbook!
  12. Graphix7

    The name is Boolin.....

    Lookin' fly my guy!
  13. Hello everyone, the name is Boolin I've been ruling these skies for about 2 years now, and love talking and playing with the community. Motto- "The Skies belong to me.... Nowhere to run... Nowhere to hide" P.S- if you hear "Another one bites the dust" and a hummingbird flying 2 meters above the ground coming at you full speed, its probably me.... Sincerely Boolin….

    Hello, let's play!

I am about 2 weeks into finding this VS invade and annex server and I have to say, it is by far the best I've played on. It's what I look for everyones pretty much helpful and best of all its PvE! I play any role but mainly Autorifleman and Medic when available. Not a very serious "sir" type of dude I just like to relax, drink a cold beer and enjoy the game. So if you guys want to play add me on Steam so we can team up!
  15. I am...Mednog. Or Eggnog. Or, that dude. The medic. You'll find me chillin' in HDC's discord and sometimes running around in the I&A. I generally shitpost guns in the #guns-and-stuff channel in the discord. I'm, well, unique. Let's leave it at that. My personality is hard to describe/I just don't care enough to distill it into proper wording. If I can't be a medic, there's no joy in playing Arma. Or games in general. If you want to know more about me, find me and talk to me. Otherwise, I ain't gonna post my life story online.
  16. How is everyone doing? Game tag here is LimaFoxtrot, go by Lima sometimes. I usually play in the I&A server and its a blast! The community of player that comes in there is just a laughing time. You'll usually find me playing a pilot role and doing what I like to do best. You can find me on TS or discord if you ever want to just talk. Ever need someone to shoot the Sh** and just vent about your day, hit me up. Here to help everyone in my life and trying to make sure this world gets better one person at a time. Look forward to playing with everyone else. V/R Lima

  18. Hi Iam Apache (Ron) from the Netherlands . I am founder of DSOP ( 1999) dutch clan playing Vietcong, and operation flashpoint the game that became arma later ,mostly played ofp and armed as LOL senior clan member ,making missions and as server admin . Later in arma2 and 3 I hosted survival servers and been admin host and scripter most of the time , For now a long break from hosting /admin/development and try to just play so its a kind of game vacation for me 🙂 . Greetings from the netherlands
  19. I am the zombie pirate Kainus. In my past life I was an Electronics Technician for 688 improved class nuclear powered fast attack submarines. Now I am simply a perpetual noob. I am glad I found this server. You guys seem awesome.
  20. I'm unsure what the problem is, but I've tried joining the CAS slot on the I&A Volition Servers Altis, and it refuses to load in for me. Every other slot, including the whitelisted slots and the helicopter pilot slots work fine; As far as I know it is just the CAS slot. It gets stuck on the "receiving data" progress bar, and won't progress any further no matter how long I wait. Could someone look into the problem?

    Hello from REDACTED

Welcome to the party Redacted. I enjoy the Cyrus, but it's full auto function is almost useless due to slow fire rate. Cheers m8.
  22. Hello, I am REDACTED some know me as a boy that I&A Altis is the only server that I play on; and you'd be right. While on the server I normally play Squad Lead, I usually use the Cyrus 9.3MM Designated Marksman Rifle. I really don't know what else to put here other then the fact that I am happy to be apart of this community.

    Hello fellow players from Finland

Yeah me too Simo, my friend
  24. Simo Häyhä

    Hello fellow players from Finland

Welcome Sieni my friend. I look forward to teaming up with you more on the server!
  25. Hey I am middle aged man (40) from Finland. I did found this server trough one friend. I had liked to play with you guys. I got so little to tell, but I think this is enough 😄
  26. Hey ya'll! Trying to sound American. How did I do? I'm from Canada, eh! I've been playing Arma III, off and on, over the years, and played Arma II for many years prior to the launch of the next installment. A couple months ago I decided to hop back on Arma III to fly some helicopters. I played on some servers for a bit, and found Volition Servers to have the best game-play "experience" for heli-pilots, and casual shooter. The community is NOT toxic, admins are the friendliest bunch, and the casual atmosphere brings life into the game on this specific server. The way you play in this server actually matters, and the helicopter pilots actually have a meaningful role! This meant a lot to me as a gaming enthusiast and a Arma III helicopter pilot, so I've stuck around since I found this server and been playing here ever since. So you can catch me flying the troop transport helicopter's [specifically the Huron] or being the lone-ranger medic on Volition Servers. I do a great job at both roles. I have also donated to Volition Servers, and it's worth every penny! In the real world, I'm a construction worker. I imagine myself doing other things, like going to join the Army, here in Canada, but my hearing impairment restricts my ability to be able to do that, or do other cool careers. I also imagine myself not being a construction worker for the rest of my life, so I'm open to hop to another career, just I don't know what I would want to do and I rather it be on a college bound path that leads me to a good paying job in a demanding field, but the markets are so over-saturated in many area's that going to school for an in demand field certainly isn't doable in my area at the moment. I'd have to travel and stay in a different city, but the economy isn't allowing me to be able to do that at the current moment! Yes, Canada has problems of its own right now, and our lovely media surely does not mention such things. Graphix7 and I had a conversation one time on TS, he said I would fit in around here. Once you get to know me, politically, you may ask me "why does a Canadian knows so much about American politics, when you aren't even American?" America has a lot of influence in Canada, our media never shuts up about you. And ever since discovering many, many years ago that Bill Clinton is a rapist and Hillary was just starting out as Secretary of State, I just had started paying attention to American politics. I am ill-advised on Canadians politics more than I am on American. You guys and girls are just two entertaining... (2 scoops, 2 genders, 2 terms) Colour me shocked. I don't know what I want to do yet, career wise. So I retort to working with my hands, I get paid real good money, but the hours suck. In mean time before I get a "real" steady 8am - 5pm job that requires me to use my brain, you'll find me playing games some day's on Arma III, CS:GO, Rocket League, or occasionally SC2 or FIFA 18. I am also a musician and participated in DCI in America (Drum and Bugle Corps). I was part of a group called Pioneer and Empires Statesmen from the US. I played the Baritone horn in both those groups. I am however a snare drummer, but I learned to play the horn as it would allow me to march in a group if I don't make the snare-line. My snare drumming skills were not quite up to par with those in the groups I was a member of. I got to travel and see a lot of America when we toured and competed in World Class competitions hosted by DCI/DCA. I also went to school in America, in Washington D.C. . I was to major in both (To be announced in sophomore year) Political Science and Philosophy. A Canadian learning American Politics and taking philosophy? I was also a starter for my university team and got to participate in NCAA DIV III Soccer. I was also part of an indoor drum-line in Baltimore, first as a snare drummer, then I got cut and placed in the cymbal line (Not enough tenor drummers; 8 snares and 2 tenors doesn't work). Colour me shocked. I couldn't go back, because it was to damn expensive and my own provincial government didn't quite get all of it's cards in place for me prior to the start of the school year so my finances were fucked up by the end of the school year. I couldn't go back my second year. (damn it). So my life got screwed up for a while because of that. Great. So I went on and joined the construction industry, eh. Doing it 'bout 4 years now. (I know I already said this). I listen to country now. I started listening since last year. I fucking hated it it. I like it now, and it's usually the only thing I listen to for some fucking odd reason. You'll find me on the Team Speak 3 channel some days and nights now, and I hope to become a Server Admin for Volition Servers in the near future. I'm always willing to chat! "A brighter future only starts with one step forward." I'm not sorry if you were wheelchair bound and took offense of that quote. NIGHT FOX
